![]() Sourcemod requires virtual offsets for certain things to function correctly, which requires a linux serverbuild to aquire them. ![]() Guessing you guys have never really used sourcemod that much then from your replies, and I did mention sourcemod back in alpha stage of smashball. I just tried to resize the screenshot and got carried away :P No idea why i added all that into the edit though. While all these extra addons and community build and driven addons are good and can take the load off the people working on it they can tend to think a bit outside the box and with my L4D servers vavle has killed a few plugins along the way and take some of them onboard in thier own form as the plugins for sourcemod gets written. #SYNERGY SOURCEMOD PLUGINS MODS#I run a few css servers and they have lots of addtional server side mods that dramatically change gameplay/skins and custom sound event's. Your mapchanges work fine with the ingame menus too, seamless and effortless changes without a problem so far.ĮDIT: CSS has the same system, it's all build on metamod source, if a hl2/mod game wont work with that, then sourcemod won't even get close to being able to work with it. No problem, stay away from the kick/ban/slay for now with the lastest released of metamod and sorucemod, they dont work and one of them will crash the server. That's the primary reason I'm getting this! The most helpful feature is forced map change without stopping the server. SourceMods would be neat 'cause it might be able to change the GoalieBot's names, and you'd be able to use some funky admin commands like votes. It's the easiest to set up, configure, and run.īut the game can run well enough using the Vanilla settings anyway. I think Counter-Strike: Source has a different, more difficult system, but anything TF2 and above (including mods) use SourceMod, which only requires one other program called Metamod: Source, as Stinglock said. Rev is always asleep! :3Īlso, yes SourceMod is the best choice for administration for new Source games. Soon as I have access to Sunshine Stomp's primary server, I'll work on getting that on there. I've hosted multiple servers before, I admined on 3 different other communities, and I've set up SourceMod for 15 LAN parties :D but thanks again for the heads up! I'll throw it on my listen server to test it out. Thanks Stinglock! I'm very confident I know what I'm doing.
